Tareekh Pe Tareekh: The Indian Judiciary's Business Model
Why Indian courts outlive their cases. The four mechanisms that turned the judiciary into a VIP subscription — and the one demand that closes the most legible part.

The Cockroach Janta Party proudly celebrates the glorious rot of our judiciary. Why survive a nuclear blast when you can outlive a forty-year court case? Here is how we successfully diluted justice into a premium VIP subscription.
The Four Mechanisms
- Blindfolded Justice. We kept her blindfold tight so she cannot see the cash sliding under the bench.
- The Injunction Economy. Why solve disputes today when you can delay them until the litigants naturally expire?
- Decorative Gavels. We turned the mighty pillar of democracy into a highly profitable toll plaza.
- Infinite Adjournments. Tareekh pe tareekh is our official business model.
Long live the rot.

What We Plan To Do
Roughly five crore cases sit on Indian court dockets. The Law Ministry's own data places the median civil suit at 6.6 years and pendency in the High Courts at over three. The delay is not a bug. It is the business model.
Our first demand closes the most legible part of it: no Chief Justice of India shall be granted a Rajya Sabha seat as a post-retirement reward. A judge ruling on the government this year stops being appointed by that government next year. The separation of powers stops being a dotted line.
